Welcome to the high resolution world and photographic artistry of one of the world's leading photographers. With an international portfolio that has spanned over twenty years and three continents, it has been the unique combination of an extremely diverse life experience and an independent vision that has formed the basis of an exceptional artistic career. In an industry flooded by bravado Michael Hockney remains a modest figure. Choosing to work only on specific documentary projects that promote international understanding and challenge popular perceptions Hockney has presented his essays exclusively through the respected auspices of the institutional art gallery circuit. This remains the powerful platform upon which governments and global corporations have entrusted Hockney to uniquely promote their image to the world. In 2011 Michael personally undertook the design and development of the Official Website for Dr. Al Magariaf, the first President of Libya after the revolution. Michael Hockney is CEO of The Hicon Consulting Corporation..
Michael Hockney has an extensive portfolio and client listing which has included many noteable events, people and places. The photographer was the last to document the ill-fated Piper Alpha platform using high resoluton and panoramic cameras. Michael covered the 1998 Airbus crash at CKS airport and was the first Canadian to have a portrait audience with the former President of Taiwan, Chen Sui-Bian. Michael has also produced a host of international solo exhibitions. In 2007 the photographer began the first of a groundbreaking series of mini documentaries, Colours of Russia. Michael then founded The Colours Group of Canada dedicated to showing regions of the world that receive little media attention or unwarranted negative presentation. .
